We have studied and continue to extensively study and adapt our philosophy to incorporate the best of all theories promoting child development. We adhere to no one basic philosophy but incorporate some Montessori, emergent learning, play based, Reggio and the like into our own amalgamated version that features the best interest of our group of growing young minds.

SOCIAL Sharing, taking turns, solving problems, working and playing in groups and on their own.

PHYSICAL Practicing the use of gross and fine motor skills.

EMOTIONAL Expressing feelings, giving and receiving empathy, gaining positive self-esteem.

COGNITIVE Incorporating a full Preschool Program. This includes academic and play based activities to incorporate pre-reading and pre-writing skills, phonics, science experiments, simple math, letter and number recognition within creative and fun interactive activities that the children enjoy.

Our Day

Our daily routine is a framework of opportunities and serves only as a guideline to the needs and curiosities of the group as a whole. Often weather permits more outdoor activities, or children remain engaged in activities that promote a greater deal of time be allotted.

​

  • 7:30 - 8:30 drop-offs, welcome children, free-play and/or structured-play, trains, story-time, etc.

  • 8:30 - 9:00 welcome, clean-up/wash-up, school run when required, outdoor time

  •  9:30-10:30 circle-time ( Preschool Curriculum)

  •  arts and crafts, story-time, various learning games

  • 10:00 - 10:30 morning snack, then wash up and diapering/potty time/ wash up

  • 10:30 - 12:00 outside play-time or music, song and dance, tumbling exercises

  • 12:00 - 1:00 lunch time, wash up, diapering/potty 

  • 1:00 - 2:30 rest-time and/or quiet-time

  • 2:30-3:00 potty/ diaper check get dressed and ready for school run or outdoor play

  • 3:00 - 4:00 outdoor &/or free-play and/or structured-play, puzzles, books, various learning toys, etc.

  • 4:00 - 4:30 afternoon snack, clean-up/wash-up

  • 4:30  pickups, outside play (depending)
